LOUVRE RANCH VINEYARD & WINERY

Our winery is a harmonious part of the vibrant tapestry of Temecula's wine country. The region's undulating hills and sun-drenched vineyards create an idyllic backdrop for the cultivation of high-quality grapes. Each row of vines tells a story of meticulous craftsmanship and a commitment to producing wines of distinction.

EXCEPTIONAL WINEMAKING

Since our establishment in 2015, our estate vineyard has been an integral part of the Temecula Wine Valley, a testament to our commitment to crafting wines of distinction in the heart of Southern California's wine country.  Temecula's climate, characterized by warm days and cool nights, provides an ideal environment for grape cultivation. Our winemakers harness the essence of this terroir to create a diverse array of wines. Every bottle encapsulates the essence of the region, inviting you to savor the flavors of Temecula.

TEMPRANILLO

“The Spanish have been passionately drinking wine for the last 2000 years.”  Proof of wine in ancient Spain was discovered in 1972, when archaeologists unearthed a mosaic of the wine god Bacchus at Banos de Valdearados in northcentral Spain.  Tempranillo may well have been the wine shown in the mosaic because it has been in Spain since 800 BC. Tempranillo is a black grape variety that is used to make full-bodied red wines. Temecula Valley in California is one of the wine regions where Tempranillo is grown.

PRIMITIVO

Primitivo is a red wine grape variety that is also known as zinfandel. It is the third-most planted grape in Puglia, in southern Italy. Primitivo makes wines that are big, jammy, and rustic, with high alcohol, chewy tannins, and a sweet finish.
During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, primitivo was mainly used as a blending grape to bring alcohol and body to other Italian red wines.
Primitivo was brought to California in 1968.
